Model description

The model depicts a yad, which is a baton with a hand-shaped end that is used during Torah reading. According to Jewish tradition, the scroll cannot be touched with the human hand; the yad allows specific sections of the chanted text to be followed from a distance. It is originally made of silver, ivory, or wood.

The model will be useful in humanities or religion classes.
