I wanted a custom fitted stand for my (absolutely wonderful) HD6XX headphones. I borrowed heavily from the Makerbot headphone stand, but took the opportunity to remodel everything from scratch and address some of the nagging issues that I had with the original Makerbot headphone stand (it has steep overhangs which tend to warp from heat, it's not symmetric, the headband rest is too narrow and doesn't fit the band of the HD6XX, etc). This is a much easier print, with better results for me right off the print surface. There are two versions of the stand: one with a "ribbed" look on the uprights (due to the layering of print layers, similar to the top surface of a benchy boat), and one with more of a smooth look. The stand is modular, and the top headband piece simply slides into place and is held there via interference fit. The modular parts allow the stand to be customized to your specific headphones, as needed. Headband pieces are supplied for AudioTechnica ATH-M50 style smooth headphone bands as well as Sennheiser HD650 style notched headbands. There is a "tall" and a "short" version of the notched band piece. Hope you enjoy!
