Culture: Roman Material: Ceramic Dims: H 8.2cm Accession No: MG 137 B Current Location: The Hunt Museum, Limerick. A bag-shaped beaker with rounded profile, slightly incurved conical base, narrow foot and cornice rim. A fine white ware with black coating decorated with a trailed slip (barbotine technique) of raised motifs, a hound chasing a hare, dots and frieze of leaves. This is Cologne ware dating to the second or third-century AD with a distribution in the Rhineland and Britain. More.
