Mexico City's first skyscraper, the Torre Latinoamericana! Updated in 2021 with more detail. At 188 meters (597 ft) tall and 44 stories, the Torre Latinoamericana (Latinoamerican Tower) was the first skyscraper to be successfully built on a highly-seismic location when it opened in 1956 in downtown Mexico City, very close to other notable landmarks like Palacio de Bellas Artes and a few blocks from Zócalo.  The name comes from the Seguros Latinoamericana insurance company, headquartered in the building. It was designed by architect Augusto H. Álvarez. This historical and modernist building is a symbol of Mexico City and has become a landmark. Have you seen the city from it's lookout? (from Wikipedia). MiniWorld3D is the collection of 3D printable models of landmarks of the world. All our models are made from scratch by hand and brain, please give credit, it's all about spreading culture! Main photos printed in Reflow recycled matte PLA eggshell, by MiniWorld3D. Some photos by @slimprintnl & @hill.designs .
