Created in 1936. It is a Tehuelche chief. His first public appearance took place on October 19, 1928 in the cartoon "The Adventures of Don Gil Contento" Daily Review, with the name of Curugua-Curiguagüigua. Patoruzú is the nickname of the Indian hero, a nickname that comes from one of the most popular at the time of its appearance sweets, Oruzú pills. Patoruzú is a pure, plain and simple man; sober, stoic, good believer and although sure of himself, very modest. It is a nature lover and environmentalist.
