Miletus (Turkey), found south of the theatreFrom the division of finds 1905; marble, 504 - 520 BC The group of women conceived as a votive was built into a small wall near the theatre only in Late Antiquity. The more recent inscription on the rear side designates the location of a group of citizens (in the sanctuary?). The hole in the rest indicates its modern use as a fountain figure. This object is part of "Scan The World".
