The Rood Screen is a common feature in late Medieval architecture, it separates the choir from the nave. It usually takes to a part of the Church which is higher and reachable through steps. The original Rood Screen of Limoges had two faces with two saircases.  This is a rare piece made in stone and for this it is one of the last architectural elements of its kins that are still intact.
