This sculpture was originally gilded and painted and represents Dionysus while he is pouring wine in the mouth of the panther next to his feet. The inscription engraved in the base informs that the figurine was a votive gift from Numerio Popidio Ampliato, father of Popidio Celsino, that restored the temple with his money. Dionysus was identified with the Egyptian god Osiris.
