This fragmentary head his a cast from an original marble work housed in The Kunsthistorisches Museum, Vienna. The sculpture depicts Hercules, the divine hero in Roman and Greek mythology. The head is identified as a copy of the Lansdowne Herakles, a full figure sculpture depicting Hercules with a club held over his right shoulder (Downloadable on Scan the World here). The head misses a large portion of his left side, presumably from damage over time.
