The original capital is part of the Church of St. Peter and St. Paul in Wissembourg. The Church is on of the largest Gothic ones situated in Bas-Rhin (Alsace). The major part of what remains today, has been built under commission of abbot Edelin in 13th century. The earliest parts of the Church date from around 1140 and include the south Norman Arcades.
