This bronze helmet was found in a small tomb built from stone slabs, originally painted red. The helmet is of the 'Chalcidian' type. The weapons and athletic equipment which were buried with the helmet in the tomb were offered to him in death to reflect his manly virtues while alive. It originates from Karaburun (Karabournou) near Thessaloniki, Macedonia, Greece.   This object is part of "Scan The World".
