3D Printed over 7 feet long and 134 HOURS of total print time, this site model of Old Havana, Cuba is an architectural project titled Columna de Agua. Project completed during Fourth Year Fall Semester, 2015 by: Andrew Reynolds, Nico Granci, Dave Olivetti, and Bobby Trapper. The site model is at 1/64" = 1'-0" scale and consists of over 200 buildings in Old Havana, including the Capitol Building. The pieces were all printed block-by-block on a desktop printer and flipped upside down to greatly reduce the amount of plastic used. The Project, Columna de Agua, consists of porous voids throughout Havana including the removal of selected derelict buildings and the insertion of civic spaces and a series of rills connecting the 'voids'.
